“…the most ambitious (and most socially useful) way of realising one’s own affirmation is to conceive it together with the collective: thus the ethical drive appears…”

Enzo Mari (Project and Passion)

You’ll find Policreo in an independent building, an authentic studio house. Our reality inhabits the building, giving the place its own identity. The studio, with its exterior spaces, expresses the completeness of the interior spaces.

The living space qualifies the space and the work. The studio is the place for reflection, sharing, mutual confrontation/encounter between different/multiple looks, and professionalism.

Policreo Studio Ingresso

The office design responds to the activities carried out with particular attention to the organisation in working groups from different disciplines being in constant exchange. Therefore, the subdivision on several building levels determines a rationalisation of the working environments according to the various operational units.

Policreo Studio Sala Riunioni

Pursuing an integrated and multidisciplinary approach requires highly flexible and adaptable environments, as well as the need for frequent interdisciplinary meetings. To this end, the studio offers three meeting rooms, two with interactive whiteboards; one includes a refreshment and relaxation area.

Policreo Studio Corridoio

The structure, with its large open spaces, mirrors the very essence of Policreo. It is characterised not by physically separate units and independent realities but by the continuous interaction and collaboration between different areas and skills. The care taken in the search for architectural details and finishing materials, the attention paid to the natural and artificial lighting in the personal work areas, and the use of custom-made furnishing elements also contribute to creating a stimulating environment from a perceptive and sensorial point of view.

Our History

Parma 1987

A collective of young designers, each with diverse backgrounds and expertise, joined forces to embark on a shared journey, giving rise to Policreo S.r.l., an innovative design firm. Our primary goal is to redefine the practice of architecture, engineering, and environmental design through a groundbreaking integrated approach. Policreo stands out with a vision that transcends the conventional, challenging the self-referential nature of the industry. Our foundational principles are rooted in a profound desire for methodological and operational reform within a sector that traditionally revolves around individual designers. To address this, we established a multidisciplinary technical structure, forming a network of diverse professionals, effectively moving beyond the limitations of a system centered around individual designers. This commitment to transformation is evident in our bold decision to establish a Limited Liability Company—an unconventional choice at the time, challenging regulatory frameworks that hindered the synergy between intellectual work and capital. In the realm of operations, Policreo set itself apart by pioneering the use of cutting-edge digital tools exclusively designed for our projects. We sought out advanced hardware from the North American market, not yet available in Italy, and developed customized software to meet the unique operational needs of our firm. Throughout the years, we garnered increasing trust and achieved significant milestones. Our success is attributed to a distinctive methodological organization, an ethical approach to design, and the quality of solutions derived from specializing and enhancing our skills in areas that focus on the seamless integration of design with the environment and landscape.

2000

The company undertook a profound reorganisation of its internal structure, enriching its already substantial wealth of know-how with reference figures with specific skills in the main fields of design activities.

2003

The current offices in Parma are opened in Via Bondi 14/A. This choice stems from the need for new spaces and environments specifically designed in response to the management requirements of a multidisciplinary and integrated design process in constant evolution.

2022-23

In our pursuit of integrated design, we recognized the pivotal role of a cohesive visual identity. Through our new corporate identity project, we’ve meticulously crafted a contemporary Visual Identity, redesigned our website, and curated a captivating brochure—all integral components of our comprehensive communication plan. This strategic makeover ensures our studio remains at the forefront, resonating with clients and collaborators alike. The new visual identity serves as a beacon, reflecting our commitment to innovation, excellence, and sustained relevance in the ever-evolving landscape of our professions.

Today

Today, what once seemed like visionary ideals have transformed into a well-established reality, driven by the collaborative efforts of forty professionals, each equipped with specialized skills organized into areas corresponding to the core fields of operation.

While our design approach has evolved and strengthened over decades of experience, it remains rooted in the original aspirations that materialized in the choice of the name Policreo. This embodies a continuous interplay between a robust rational foundation and the unpredictable essence from which every creative journey originates. Our work methodology is grounded in integrated and multidisciplinary design at every phase, reflecting an ethical approach that prioritizes the holistic sustainability of every tangible and intangible aspect engaged in our endeavors.
