A Study Day Between Policreo and AGM

A Study Day Between Policreo and AGM

A few weeks ago, Policreo and AGM Project Consulting held a day of discussion and in-depth analysis dedicated to healthcare design, data analysis, and potential synergies between complementary approaches and skills.

The meeting took place at the “Acqua, Terra e Sole” farm in San Michele Tiorre, in the municipality of Felino, designed by architect Marco Contini. This welcoming rural setting fostered an open exchange of experiences, methodologies and design visions.

The day was opened by architect Sergio Beccarelli, with a reflection on the strategic role of hospital trusts within contemporary regions. In a social context increasingly marked by an ageing population, hospitals represent not only places of care but also genuine economic drivers and regional infrastructure capable of activating complex processes and generating new relationships among health, services and local development.

Next, Luca Algostino, managing director and technical director, presented the work carried out by AGM Project Consulting in the clinical and healthcare sector, illustrating a methodology that integrates data analysis, dynamic flow simulation, decision intelligence and functional spatial design.

Of particular interest was the discussion on process-oriented hospital design: an approach that starts with the organisation of flows, needs, and activities that define the actual functioning of a healthcare facility. This perspective is also shared by Policreo, which uses interdisciplinary methodologies capable of integrating functional, social, technological, and spatial aspects.

The day was further enriched by the active participation of professionals from different disciplines and fields of expertise, including Nicola Florindo, a healthcare consultant for Policreo, who contributed to broadening the discussion on the possible future developments of these design and analytical approaches.

More than just a working meeting, it was above all an opportunity for mutual listening, learning and positive cross-fertilisation because we believe that innovation also means this: continuing to learn from others.
