Open House Rome 2025: guided tour of Piazza Pia with Policreo

Open House Rome is an annual event celebrating design and architecture, created by a group of architects and communicators committed to socio-cultural innovation. Over nine days, about 200 sites – many usually closed to the public – open their doors through free guided tours.
This year, the event offers a unique opportunity to discover one of the projects transforming the face of Rome and enhancing access to the Vatican – which in 2025 becomes the city’s central focus between the Jubilee and the election of the new Pope.
We’re talking about Piazza Pia, along the Tiber in Sassia, and the Gardens of the Bastions of Castel Sant’Angelo: a project that merges heritage enhancement with sustainable architectural choices, reinforcing the site’s symbolic identity in the heart of Rome. The project will be open to the public for free visits on 24 and 31 May 2025, as part of the “Jubilee and the City” section.
On Saturday, 24 May from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sergio Beccarelli will guide visitors through the new architectural and landscape layout, which has created the largest pedestrian area in the city of Rome.
