From 28 to 30 March 2025, Parma will host the 15th edition of the Green Economy Festival, an event promoted by ItalyPost and Corriere della Sera, which has become a key platform for discussions on sustainability. With over 500 speakers, including experts, entrepreneurs, economists, institutional figures, and Nobel Prize winners, the festival will offer a unique opportunity to explore concrete solutions to today’s environmental, economic, and social challenges.

Among the central themes of the 2025 edition, particular attention will be given to urban sustainability and social housing—fundamental topics for ensuring more resilient, inclusive, and people-centred cities.

On Saturday, 29 March at 11:30 AM, Sergio Beccarelli will take part in the round table discussion “Social Housing and Sustainable Cities: Which Models for the Future?”, alongside:

• Andrea Cantini – Head of Housing Policies, Planning and Development of Social Housing, Municipality of Parma
• Ilda Curti – Lecturer in European Design, University of Turin
• Fabio Carlozzo – President, Redo Sgr
• Sara Malori – Technical Director, Parma Infrastrutture

The discussion will explore the role of social housing in improving urban quality of life, fostering social cohesion, and promoting sustainable housing solutions. These are key themes that Policreo has been working on for years, as demonstrated by the Mix House XXV Aprile project in Parma—an innovative residential complex designed to encourage intergenerational inclusion and environmental sustainability.

With over 100 sessions, 300 young researchers, and a programme covering sustainable construction, circular economy, energy, sustainable logistics, and digital innovation, the festival is an open platform for professionals, students, and citizens alike.
