Policreo has joined the Italian National Committee of the World Road Association PIARC, as a collective Silver member. PIARC is the oldest international association dealing with road engineering, road policy and road network management, making this partnership particularly significant.
This new membership invited us to the international workshop entitled ‘Decarbonised and Resilient Road Infrastructure to Enhance Sustainable Mobility‘, scheduled for 24 April in Rome. The event, attended by our engineer Giovanni Brianti, was organised with the patronage and cooperation of the World Road Association (PIARC), the National Council of Engineers, the Order of Engineers of the Province of Rome, the Order of Engineers Foundation of the Province of Rome, and the National Council of Geologists.
The workshop addressed crucial topics such as decarbonising infrastructure and transport and resilience management of road infrastructure. Speakers came from road administrations from different continents – including Austria, the United States, Australia, India, Japan, Uganda and the United Kingdom – and Italian representatives from academia and industry in the motorway and transport sector.
This participation underlines Policreo’s commitment to contributing to the global dialogue on sustainable infrastructure development and our ongoing efforts to improve our expertise in the engineering and transport sectors.
