Policreo wins the PNRR project to renovate the Romanini Complex in Parma.

The executive project of the intervention, included in the PNRR programme, for the renovation of the Romanini Complex in Parma has begun.

The project intervention, financed with PNRR funds, consists in the renovation of the Romanini complex in Parma, owned by ASP-Parma Servizi alla Persona, for the construction of accommodation for the elderly in conversion to the CRA (Casa Residenza Anziani). The project, developed by Policreo, represents an important and further step forward in the design and planning of spaces dedicated to personal care and intergenerational living within the city of Parma. This project is inspired by the principles of social housing and sustainable communities, creating places for socialising and mutual aid characterised by high energy efficiency and a constant dialogue with the urban context of reference.

The focus on the design of a building with high performance characteristics within a dialogue with the existing historical structure are some of the central elements of the project, which aims to establish an active relationship between the architectural organism and its urban surroundings. The development of a multidisciplinary and integrated design approach is a key element capable of creating places that meet the different needs of the people who live, work and interact in the building’s space.

Policreo’s sensitivity and commitment to these issues are not new, but part of a path that had already begun with the study and elaboration of the MAS1-Mix House XXV Aprile project within the intervention ‘Abitare la Rigenerazione. MOSAICO ABITATIVO SOLIDALE’ aimed at the development of the quality of social living and financed by PINQuA “Programma Innovativo per la Qualità dell’Abitare” within the urban quadrant of Villa Parma, currently under construction.
The renovation of the Romanini Complex reinforces Policreo’s dedication to the design of social living places for the elderly, but also testifies to a constant attention towards the realisation of buildings characterised by high energy efficiency and aimed at developing forms of intergenerational relations with the different components of the local community living within the urban context of reference.
